An ace can cost either 1 or 11 points, whichever benefits the player most. The illustrated cards of Jack, Queen, and King are worth 10 points each. Numbered cards from two to ten are counted by their face value. By getting 22 or more points, the game participant loses. The winner is the one who gets 21 points or a lower number of points, which is as close as possible to 21.
